This post is so late! I have been coming home at 10 pm every day, hence no outfit post this week.  These pictures were taken at a faboulous white boat party I went to on the Thames for a friends birthday on Saturday.  I never realised untill this party that I only own one white dress!!  The party was amazing and being on a boat just added a glamourous element to it.  We kept joking to everyone that we were going to P diddys boat party haha

I hope you like what I wore.  I included some iPhone pictures at the bottom just so you can see how lovely it was on the boat and of course me getting my pose on.  I also love the picture of my cousin in her long white dress, doesn't she look like shes on a catwalk!

Hello Shorter hair! so yeah my extensions lasted only a week and a half! As much as I loved them they always start feeling heavy and I always miss my own hair, it was fun while it lasted.  I took the plunge and dip dyed my own hair.  I love it, but as I thought it has taken a toll on my ends and their super dry at the moment,  Hopefully a few conditioning sessions will do the job.

I wore this yesterday to run a few errands, it was raining like mad yesterday, as you can see my umbrella has made a little appearance in my bag, probably not the last one either...sigh.

Aztec and Peplum

I love this crop top, and since I wore it in May in this post here, I have been wanting to wear it again.  When I bought this peplum skirt the idea for this outfit came straight away, all I needed was somewhere to go!

I wore this on Saturday to celebrate Uganda's 50th Independence, I may not have mentioned before but I'm half Ugandan.

Hey guys, hope your all well! As you may have noticed I have added some extensions to my hair.  I have been wanting to dip dye my ends, but there dry as it is and didn't want to risk damaging them.  When I decided to get extensions I thought why not change it up even more and go really long! when my hair is out it covers my whole back.

This is what I wore to work today, my most relaxed look at work.  I didn't sleep at home last night, which was very last minute. with no fresh clothes to wear to work, I took the opportunity to raid through my cousins wardrobe and borrowed her lovely checkered top.

Allure Eyebrow Embroidery

Finally getting down to what everyone have been asking me - my eyebrows. I like to think i'm pretty good at shaping and drawing brows. I'm not born with perfect, full brows so i've have been shaping and drawing my brows myself ever since i started applying makeup? It's all about practice and knowing exactly what looks good on you. So last month, Allure Beauty, eyebrow embroidery specialists, sent me an email and invited me down for an eyebrow embroidery session. I hesitated, of course, since i really like drawing my own brows but the thought of having fuller brows everyday the moment i wake up is what made me decided to just go for it.

Allure Beauty's latest outlet at City Square Mall marks the 3rd outlet to date. It is bigger, better with a very luxurious and elegant feel. It has a spa like ambience in a saloon setting.

This is my brows when it's not drawn. I'm not 'hairless' there but it isn't defined and full enough for me!

IMG_8326

So first, they applied the numbing cream around and on my brows and left it for 30 mins....

I was then taught about how brows should be aligned on our face. Allure uses The Golden Ratio to bring balance and proportion to the face which harmonizes the rest of the features together. I knew about this method of determining my brow arch and all and it was the same method i used to shape my brows too so i was really happy and relieved to know that i have doing it the right way all these while hahaha

My therapist then trim and draw my brows according to The Golden Ratio and to my satisfaction before proceeding to the treatment room for embroidery. I like how my brows always look but i also want a versatile shape that i can lightly draw over on days i feel like changing up the look so i requested for a similar brow shape to the one i always draw on myself, which thankfully, the therapist also felt that i suit that shape too.

In the treatment room getting ready for my brows to be embroidered! I love how the brows look like here. Gonna make them semi-permanent! Eyebrow embroidery lasts for about 2 years depending on individual.

Right after treatment!

Above 3 photos are taken with my naked brows (and face). Now i do not have to draw my brows on my off-work days anymore! I still do have to draw them during photoshoots because i require them to be slightly darker because of harsh lights and/or during times when i want my brows to be thicker or have a higher arch! Love how versatile it is!

Pain wise, i would say it's about 1/10? Definitely not like tattoo-ing. It just feels like somebody scratching your brows really hard. Oh and your brows are gonna be really dark and unnatural for about a week before it fades off into a lighter, natural shade! Honestly speaking, it was a tough week for me. I couldn't stand how fierce i looked but thank god time flies!

This is how my brows looked like before embroidery, when i still do draw my brows. Not much difference right? :D So for those who have been asking me about my brows... I can't help you when i don't know you. I can't shape or draw them for you. You can only either keep practicing like how i always tell you guys to (don't give up!) or you can give this a try!

And just a tip for those of you who are interested in doing eyebrow embroidery, i know a lot of people are into the korean brows (think thick and straight) right? Do NOT ever ask your therapist to create that shape for you. Neither do you get them to embroidery a really sultry looking, high arch brow because i promise you're gonna regret. Go for something that is more versatile, one that you will look good leaving it naked as it is and also be able to draw on it to make the arch higher or make it thicker and straighter any time you want. :)

I still like drawing my brows though even after getting it embroidered. Sometimes i think i'm obsessed with brows. I secretly takes pride in my own brows LOL. I also do have to tidy them up (pluck and trim) every now and then but it's way easier to do it now because the shape of the brow is already there!

Prices for eyebrow embroidery (treatments ranges from basic embroidery to angelic embroidery) at Allure Beauty ranges from S$198 to S$2800.

I did the Allure Signature Embroidery and it ranges from S$1380 to S$1880 depending on the therapist chosen. Right now Allure is offering you guys S$100 OFF Allure Beauty Signature Eyebrow Embroidery. Offer only applicable to senior therapists and prices are before GST. Promotion ends 31 Dec 2013.

DRx Tricho Hair Treatment #2

As you all know i've recently embarked on a new journey to restore healthier and fuller hair (read about my first visit here), well this was during my second trip to DRx! Did the Purifying and Control treatment first to get rid of all the impurities and eliminate bacteria on my scalp... Will be starting on my first Regrowth treatment session soon. The one that will get my hair growing. Heard needle roller will be involved in that. Sounds really scary but i can't wait!

Anything for beauty! Anything for nice, thick hair!!!

After the deep cleansing treatment, they used the highly raved about 'ionic' brush to curl my hair. So in love with it!!! I usually dislike people curling my hair because they usually turn out really bleugh and makes me look damn aunty but i love my curls here!!!

SAM_2705 SAM_2682 SAM_2668 SAM_2671 SAM_2670

So natural and bouncy and not limpy and flat...! My hair wasn't dry after they curled it as well.
I NEED THAT BRUSH!!!

Met E for lunch and gym after my treatment... Was so sad when i couldn't go home and show off my hair to my mom.

Brought her to try the popular Shiok Maki at Koh Grill and Sushi Bar. So happy that she loved it!

Last shot before i left and headed for the gym. Now that i've a much shorter hair, i can't wait to see how they would style my hair after my treatment haha. I love having curls in my shoulder length bob (is it legit to call it a long bob? i hate hair terms...) now!

I've also gotten the highly raved about Nanogen shampoo as well... Was told the right way to shampoo our hair. Who knew i've been doing it the wrong way all these years??! Love how this shampoo and thickening conditioner leaves my scalp a really minty and cooling feeling and how it makes my hair feels more dense!

Anyway, as promised in my Ask.fm, here are the questions you asked!

Where is DRx located?

302 Orchard Road, 16th Floor
Tong Building (next to Paragon Shopping Centre)
Singapore 238862
Tel: 6733 1555
Mon to Fri: 10am to 8pm | Sat: 10am to 5pm

Do DRx provide u their shampoo range called Nanogen? Does it work? I've tried so many brands of shampoo for hair loss, volumizing etc. but they all doesn't work for me.

Yes, DRx Tricho uses Nanogen range. I've personally tried it and can feel that it does makes a difference, i don't get really flat hair like i used to always do anymore.

Does Salon Vim hair treatments help with hair loss? What's the difference between normal hair treatments and the treatment at DRx?

Salon hair treatments are to make your hair less dry, more nourished because you usually do treatments after colouring, perming or straightening. And if your hair is nourished, hair fall will of course decreased but it is not a long term solution to your hair loss problem. Treatments at hair salon focuses on just hair afterall. The problem to your hair loss lies in your scalp, and that is what DRx Trichology is here for. DRx Tricho hair treatment cleanse your scalp thoroughly and then treat and prevent. Like what the chinese always say, 对症下药 (taking the appropriate steps to treat your problem(s)).

Is the DRx like Beijing 101 hair care centre?

DRx is not like Beijing 101. All the treatments formulated are based on medical science. At DRx, it is really like seeing a doctor for your sickness, but in this case, for your hair and scalp problems.

How much does a customer usually spend on all the DRx hair treatment?

Depending on each condition, package range from S$1800 to S$5000 and up too. Definitely not cheap but think about it investing on getting fuller, healthier hair in a long run.

What's the price for a hair consultation?

DRx is currently offering free consultation to those who purchase their shampoo.

How long does it take to see results? Is it guaranteed that hair will thicken and grow?

Results depend on individual and the type of condition. However, you can see a difference in your scalp just after 1 session of deep cleansing.

Till the next treatment with the needle roller!
